Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy Are Already Stretching the Truth

Jerry Jones and Mike McCarthy will say anything to get what they want. They are both telling fibs to each other already and Doug compares it to hooking up at a bar. Sometimes it’s easy to stretch the truth at first in order to make a good impression, but that rarely bodes well for a long term relationship.

Mike McCarthy on the Cowboys: "I told Jerry [Jones] I watched every play of the 2019 season, but I wanted the job,” (everyone laughs) “I haven’t watched every play of the season but...I mean, you do what you gotta do, right?”

Doug Gottlieb: "I don't even know why you'd admit that. This is comical, early dating lying. McCarthy was the guy at the bar who would say anything to get her to leave with him. And Jerry Jones was the girl at the bar who just wanted somebody to not think she had a ton of baggage and was a pain in the you-know-what."

Jerry did the same thing saying: "WE" make all the decisions around here. Who are we kidding here?'
