By almost any measure, the New Orleans Pelicans are heading in the right direction as a franchise. A 2nd round exit in the playoffs is more than anyone expected from this team once DeMarcus Cousins went down with a ruptured Achillies.
With Cousins headed for free agency, Ben Maller thinks that the Pelicans should let him walk. There is no telling how well he will recover from this injury and if history has told us anything it's that a ruptured Achilles is a career crusher.
